At CNHi we have always been committed to helping farmers sustainably advance their productivity and efficiency; now, in partnership with our crop bailing partners, Tama, we are committing to creating more sustainable manufacturing methods for the Twine and Netwrap we use every day.
Why are we doing this?
To protect the land, ensuring future generations of farmers can continue to grow the food we all depend on.
Did you know?…
Of the 722 kilo tonnes of agri-plastic that is placed on the EU market on a yearly basis, 173 kilo tonnes is already recycled!
That is 24%... but together, we can do better!
How are we going to achieve this?
It’s simple, we recycle all the used net wrap and twine we can accumulate.
CNHi are working with Tama, and their recycling facility ‘Healix’, based in the Netherlands, to reduce the amount of waste plastic finding its way into landfill and the oceans by repurposing it back into recycled raw material. Material which can then be used to manufacture new Net wrap and Twine; consequently closing the loop on plastic fibre waste.
We need your support:
Tama are actively involved in driving the establishment and management of a number of National Collection Schemes. These schemes enable you to easily recycle used net wrap and Twine, which are processed at the Healix recycling plant, to produce recycled raw material used in the production of a range of both Twine and net wrap recycled products.
To ensure the scheme is a success, we need you, the farmers, to support the supply of used products by using the National Collection Schemes.…. The more they supply, the better for the environment!
