A battery is a ‘living product’, once manufactured it begins to die. Do not store batteries in a discharged condition.
Check for voltage once a month, refresh the product when this falls to 12.5v.
Batteries should always be stored in a clean, cool, well-ventilated, dry place and in an upright position.
Batteries give off explosive gasses, do not smoke or have any other naked flame in the vicinity.
Batteries are heavy, caution should be used when lifting.
If acid is spilt onto any part of the body, cool with water and seek immediate medical attention.
If a battery is damaged resulting in spillage of acid, neutralise with soda ash.
Always charge with the recommended equipment in a well-ventilated area.
Do not place tools or metal objects on the lid as a short circuit across the terminals could result in an explosion.
